BERT & User Focused Optimization

In late 2019, Google rolled out a new algorithm known as BERT. Google uses BERT to improve its understanding of natural language and this is a very big step toward understanding a user’s intent behind a search.

There is a high probability that users will click on videos, images, maps, and relevant articles within Google’s Knowledge Panel rather than selecting an organic search result. In fact, an Ahref study of 2 million featured snippets revealed that featured snippet gets more traffic than the first organic search result.

User Experience Optimization

Not to be confused with user focused optimization, user experience or UX optimization encompasses your brands entire digital experience from website functionality and load speed, to remarketing campaigns and personalization for returning users. Understanding user experience on your website is a crucial component for reducing bounce rate and increasing conversions.
